European Arrest Warrant
Governed by Framework Decision 2002/584/JHA, it allows a person to be surrendered between Member States for prosecution or to serve a sentence.

Interpretation and translation
Directive 2010/64/EU, implemented in Italy through Article 143 of the Code of Criminal Procedure among other provisions, guarantees an interpreter and translation of essential documents to anyone who does not speak Italian.

European Investigation Order
Directive 2014/41/EU allows evidence to be gathered in another Member State, for example by hearing a witness who lives in Vienna.
